The Job

A clearer starting point for inherited WordPress sites.

The plugin is meant to answer practical questions before somebody starts changing a live build: what is installed, what needs attention, why important components exist and what the next administrator should know.

01

Environment audit

Review WordPress, PHP, database, HTTPS, debug, cache, locale and permalink details in one audit run.

02

Plugin and theme inventory

See active, inactive, network-active and must-use plugins, plus active and inactive themes and child-theme relationships.

03

Operational findings

Findings include severity, evidence, confidence, a manual recommendation and first-seen and last-seen dates.

04

Technical documentation

Record component purpose, integrations, licences, procedures, contacts, ownership and implementation notes.

05

Forms, mail and scheduled work

Inventory recognised forms and SMTP tooling, WP-Cron events and Action Scheduler counts when its public API is available.

06

Handover report

Generate a standalone browser-printable report from the latest audit and the documentation you chose to record.

How It Works

Audit first. Add the context. Hand it over.

  1. Run the on-demand audit.Build a current snapshot of the site's environment, components and operational signals.
  2. Review what was detected.Work through the inventory, findings and explainable readiness score.
  3. Document what automation cannot know.Add why a plugin exists, who owns a service, renewal responsibility, procedures and other handover notes.
  4. Create the handover report.Use the combined record for a client handover, developer takeover, migration review or maintenance onboarding.

Common Questions

Before you install it.

Is this a security scanner?

No. It is an operational site audit, documentation and handover tool. Security scanning is a different job.

Does it change or clean the site?

No. Version 1 is read-mostly. The audit does not deactivate plugins, change themes, update software, alter users or clean the database.

Can an agency use it for a client handover?

Yes. The workflow is designed for developers, agencies, freelancers, site owners and internal teams responsible for inherited or maintained WordPress sites.

Does it collect passwords or API keys?

It does not read credential values from integration settings. The documentation area also warns against storing secrets and redacts common credential-like patterns before storage.
